The scholarship, established in 2005, was endowed by a small group of men and women who love Hydra and have made the island their second home.
The award was given to honor Betty Anthony, Freddy Bradlee, Myrtle Winter Chaumney, and Gwen Knight, all long time residents of the island.
The award is intended for academically promising students in need of financial assistance. It offers the successful candidate an opportunity to receive an education at The American College of Greece.
Eligibility:
- Meet all requirements for admission to the College.
- Be registered along with his/her parents, in the municipality of Hydra.
- Be a resident of the island. (Proof of residence in Hydra is required.).
- Have attended the lyceum in Hydra for at least two years. (Certification of attendance at a Lyceum in Hydra for two years is required).
- Demonstrate financial need.
- Show academic promise.
