I had a Lemon tree once.

Here in Hydra, you come across lemons everywhere. You see them in orchards, gardens, and streets.
From the little shiny green leaves protrude the lemon blossoms, which you can touch as you pass, breathing in their heady fragrance.

It’s no accident that the flowers also symbolize marriage and new life ...
When the blossom has become a lime, you can soon expect to see the lemon tree "loaded" with its bright yellow "treasures."
As you pick the fruit, piece by piece, you fill your arms with the aromatic local lemons.

The essence of the fruit flavors many dishes; it goes extremely well with fish but also with meat. It makes a wonderful spoon sweet and jam.
And let’s not forget fresh lemonade, lemon ice cream, and delicious lemon liqueur.
The lemon tree has inspired  many songwriters in folk songs too.

And when life gives you lemons, just remember what you have read and open a bottle of Vodka. Not alone. With a bunch of friends. With a bunch of Good Friends.
